Through an extensive complete renovation, this period apartment in Stuttgart was transformed into a tailored, contemporary sanctuary. In close collaboration with Stefania Andorlini Design, an architectural concept was realized that reinterprets the historic fabric through precise structural interventions, monochromatic envelopes, and bold contrasts in material and color.
The historical layout was opened up through targeted wall removals. An exposed, dark-coated steel beam frames the structural intervention visibly, linking the living zones into a fluid, light-filled sequence of spaces. Geometrically coffered wall and ceiling panels provide an architectural rhythm that softens and reflects the incoming daylight. A seamless, high-gloss white floor extends the sense of space and acts as a gallery-like stage for sculptural furniture pieces and art.
