The proposed project entails a 2-3 story development with penthouses rising towards the treetops, opening up to expansive rooftop gardens that embrace the landscape potential. The artificial manipulation of the terrain will be completely reversed, raising the ground level by approximately one meter to ensure flood resilience. The architectural design allows for the preservation and extension of the character of the Neckar Valley floodplain, while private outdoor spaces are limited to the immediate vicinity of seating areas.
The seven buildings, comprising approximately 35-42 apartments, present themselves as "villas in the park" within the reclaimed floodplain, seamlessly blending with the surroundings. Some buildings slightly protrude into the nature reserve, without touching the ground. Flood protection subtly delineates the boundary between public and private areas through interruptions in the access pathways.
